Two Things

Topic one: I know that the posting here (and especially the photo page) has slowed considerably in the past year. It's mostly because I've been unhappy with the blogger tool. It's been buggy and it lost all the photos I posted to the photo page.
BUT, I'm expecting to do a major overhaul in the second half of this year. I'll be using a new tool, and building off a new template. Look for it before Christmas, hopefully.
Second topic: Anna, Dylan, Ami, and I are in San Antonio for the weekend. We came down to see Andria graduate from law school, which happened yesterday. But that's not the topic. Anna is. I don't know why, but until this weekend, I'd never realized what a commanding physical presence my small daughter can be. I'm not quite sure how it works, but she seems able to carry herself in such a way as to communicate that she's a being much larger and more intimidating than her little sub-four-foot frame. Perhaps it's the way she walks with a slight STOMP. Or the way she gets her shoulders back, head up, chin out when she's feeling good. I definitely know that the way she wields the cast on her right arm is terrifying, but that's a temporary phenomenon.
But all weekend, I've just noticed that she just seems to project herself slightly ahead and much larger than she really is. I'm not sure if it's good or bad, but it's definitely interesting to watch. Especially because I've always known that I somehow project a smaller version of myself than reality. And yet, adults are constantly getting out of Anna's way -- even ones who've never met her. Just 10 minutes ago, a couple in their 70's here at the hotel parted like the Red Sea to let her pass as Anna marched to the elevator. I was surprised; Anna just expected it.
It'll be interesting to see if she's always like this.
